Black-Diallo-Miller Hall

Our design for a new, 120,000 sf residence hall for first-year students at The University of Georgia, located on the former site of Bolton Dining Commons, includes 525 beds, study lounges, laundry areas, and community kitchens. Rooms accomodate for double occupancy with communal bathrooms located on each wing of the facility. The community spaces in the building are designed to provide opportunities for interaction and engagement, a key to academic success for first-year students, who are also the primary occupants of the adjacent residence halls. Our design reflects an efficient use of space that supports the University of Georgia’s continued commitment to an appropriate balance between student needs and affordability.
