The Center for Jewish Life

Located at the corner of Ivy Lane and Washington Road, the street separating Princeton's academic campus from the residentially scaled district containing the eating clubs of Prospect Street, the Center for Jewish Life combines religious and social functions within a comfortable, clublike setting. Although the center was initially designed as two wings added to an existing house, an entirely new building was designed based on the original parti when the old house proved structurally unsound. The building contains offices, a library, lounge space, a dining room, and a sanctuary, the center's principal religious space, which will be supplemented by the auditorium and library, allowing simultaneous services for each of the three branches of the Jewish faith.
